Yeah it was fun. Nice to see some new people visiting. This is also a sign that me and the truck made it home safely, I didn't even get lost! It was pretty foggy but I made it easily, and even though my speedometer doesn't seem to go over 55 or something I bet I hit 70-75 in some areas. Not too many issues besides the truck grabbing the road and swerving quite a bit.

Anyways, soon another meet thread will pop up for next months meet. Keep an eye for it

it was good meeting more people this time! better pizza than usual, but a bit of a small place there.
its pretty cool that almost all of the trucks that showed up were the 70s body style - except yahiko

honestly, from any angle you can't really tell the difference from a van of my era against one as early as 75, unless you check out interior stuff like the location of the ignition lock. its crazy that ford used the 70s body style on the vans all the way through 91

never changed a bit. the van was truly the "red-headed step child" of ford's lineup. would you believe that my taillights are the exact same as the ones in pickups from 79 back to somewhere in the 60s, and that it still has glass fuses, which were changed to blade fuses by 1980 for most other models. vans still used sealed beam headlights till well after 2000, while all the pickups and whatever were in composite lamps by 87. plenty of other things were also left old-school for the vans, as they were mostly neglected from all the fashionable and modern changes found in other models.
i'm sure i'm missing plenty of other things what were neglected, but yeah, it looks pretty old school when you study it - unless you count all the toys i've added

I had a good time. It was good to put faces with names.
Look forward to the next meet. Hopefully I will have a new addition or two to show.

That's hard to believe... I guess if something isn't broke, don't fix it. I never saw an issue with sealed beam lamps or glass fuses other than trying to read a glass fuse can be annoying. The letters are small and hard to read sometimes but i'm not going to change all the way to blade fuses just cause they are glass and outdated.

It was a fun night though, i wouldn't mind meeting there again sometime.
