100,000klm service???

So i just rolled over 100,000klm(about 60,000 miles) and I remember reading that there is a fairly extencive service job to be done to keep my extended warrenty valid. I have serached everywhere trying to find out what needs to be done.

I know that the coolant needs to be changed/flushed but i also thought that i needed a trans flush and some diff work as well.

Anybody have any info? I'm going to try to do as much of it by myself but the trans flush might have to go to ford.

thanks
Hilgy

The trans flush in the U.S. is every 30,000 miles with an external filter change. I change my filter every 15,000 miles. The tranny needs a hot flush because of an internal t-stat.

New batteries! They might be good now but thats usually the original battery life.
Just keep clean Mercon SP in the tranny(order it if you have to). Maintain it just like all the other regular maitenance fluids. The torqshift tranny is very sensitive tho so dont neglect.
Id say the stock egr cooler would start to go after 100k, but i dont know about your 07

Thanks for the info guys. I could swear that I have seen a list of particular things that needed to be done at this point. Maybe on a ford site or something but for the life of me i cant find it.

Might have to call one of the local stealerships to to see if I'm out to lunch.

I remember something about having to run an additive in your diffs for a little while then changing fluids.

I dont know maybe i'm crazy?

Thanks

Check your owners manual to include the diesel supplement. It's all in there.

My owners manual states that the rear diff fluid is lifetime fluid and never needs changed???? Only in the case of contamination.

A number of the oldtimers here, myself included, consider 100,000 miles the lifetime of the diff. fluid. Cheap ins. to change it then.

I did trans flush, coolant flush with VC 9, front and rear diffs, transfer case, exchange power steering pump fluids, serpentine belt (did late at 120k km), batteries at about that to, I tried to squeek them along but, one bad cell and could see in the volts after start, how long it took to come up after start. Your best to do it all at 100k km, which is 60,000 miles. Good insurance. I am just past 145,000 km, have never changes a sensor or the EGR, or the alternator. I use an outlook monitor to watch the coolant and oil temp split, voltages and Exhaust Gas Temps. Also, doesn't hurt to check for codes once in a while and follow them up. My outlook keeps them logged. I have never had a check engine light.
