Wow that rust is crazy. I wonder if the 78's were susceptible to that kind of rust?

I got the quarters from auto body specialties in CT. I also ordered a lot of pieces from LMC truck. I was going to try to get a drip rail from Bronco Graveyard but are under serious time constraints so we had to fabricate one, came out pretty perfect. She got the 1st coat of primer on Saturday.

I never realized what an operation it was to paint a vehicle. I have a buddy helping me with the skilled portion of it, I have been assisting with the sanding etc. whenever I can. He is awesome body / paint guy and this should be a border line show truck when he gets done with it. I can't wait.

that's pretty nice so far. My painting skills are reduced to what I can do with a spray can. Which isn't much but it gets the work done.

Yup I paint at a university, and even when it comes to painting walls especially damaged ones, it all comes down to prep work which can take alot of time.

Finally for painted

We got delayed for a few weeks but she got painted yesterday. This picture does not do it justice. We sealed her, 4 coats of base and 2 coats of clear. She'll be wet sanded and buffed this weekend. It looks AWESOME
