Thanks Dill. I'll check it out. The guy I wanted to get the car from in Seattle hasn't got back to me. I really want to get one on the Ferry this next weekend. What ya got around there Dylan for under 2K that is worth it? Anything? It's gonna be an Xmas gift from the Boys for the Ex so she will come and take them every other weekend.

This way she has no more reason she just can't make it.

Sorry to thread OP for derailment It happens a lot.

Anyways so a quite skim showed up a few cars, each with their own issue. Other question is any specific kind of car or type of trans? There are a few stick shift vehicles but i don't know specifics for you.

Shoe Goo may have fixed tailgate window switch.

Might have the down switch working again. I removed the little boot from the push switch and sprayed it with Break Free CLP. The window was half way up with the tailgate open. Using my thumb on the buttons I worked the window up and down about an inch until down worked better. Remember not to raise the glass far without supporting it. Replaced the boot.

I applied a blob of Shoe Goo to the down side of the paddle, let it skim over then leveled it out to about 1/8" thick. I did not use the key for over a week to let it cure well. It is now working fine.

I need to fix mine too. I have looked high and low for a replacement. There are none. It shouldnt be too hard to make one from scratch. THis part is always on my junk yard parts to look for list. just not many broncos in the junk yards anymore.

I know the feeling, the local yard that is close to me usually will only have 1 or 2 newer broncos. I generally forget to check the tailgates.

Shoe Goo lasted almost a month.

Key switch quit lowering the window again. I have not opened it up yet to see if the Shoe Goo fell off the paddle or the switch is not making electrical contact.

Started working again

I tried using the key to lower the glass last weekend. For some unknown reason it worked about twenty times. Intermittent is not one of my favorite words but it MIGHT work the next time. Hang on Shoe Goo.
