If I recall, there is a video on youtube of a guy doing this exact thing to his new F-150. I don't have the time right now but when I do I was going to use the video to help me do it correctly. Search for it and let us know what ya find.

System in wife's truck

I'm putting a system into my wife's 14' FX4, using factory HU/Navi. My question is with it having the factory Sony system, am I able to use factory plug for amp not to power aftermarket but to send signal? If anyone has done this or now where I can find a plug adapter please let me know.

You'll need a line out converter. Connect it from your rear speaker wire to your amp.yes, It's that simple.. then all your power and ground of course

This will let you turn the 4 high level speaker inputs into RCA low level inputs for your 4 channel amplifier.

You will need to run speaker wire from the head unit to the amp and then from the amp to the speakers. I recommend using this stuff: EFX FS9W-25FT FLux 9 Conductor Speed Wire Speaker Cable

It will let you cleanly run the wires to and from the amp. Get the metra ford head unit connector and you can keep all ford wiring intact so you can uninstall the amp easily with keeping the headunit functionality intact if you want to sell the truck in the future.
does anyone know if this harness will also work on a 2013 or any other wiring harness that will work I do not want to splice a line output converter thank you

Here's the answer

Lc2i is a 2channel line output converter, get a plug from Best buy that mates to your factory amp plug.. it's basically plug and play from their.. I'm waiting on an lc8i, to finish my install, I won't be happy with the factory highs after I have 2 12in and 1 10in Alpine type r under my back seat..

Installed myself 10 f150 factory head unit with nav etc
