hey guys im in the process of replacing my up pipes and noticed that it looks like my ebpv is leaking. I got the reinstall kit for the turbo from clay and in it it has three orings labeld for the ebpv. Can i take the ebpv apart with out a new spring and rod and just reseal it? or are those three orings not for the inside of the valve?

You have o-rings for the solenoid on the pedestal and the piston cover. You will need a EBPV rebuild kit. Clay sells them too.

This is the kit 99-03 Turbo Pedestal EBPV Rebuild Kit

the kit that comes with the turbo reinstall kit says turbo reintstall EBPV orings, then lists EBPV backplate oring (1) and solinoid orings (2)
I understand the backplate oring but not to sure about the other 2. also can i reuse the old rod assy? I actually cant order anything new since my truck is in my jobs shop and I cant have it sitting come monday.

The solenoid is mounted on the front of the pedestal. That has two o-rings. The backplate o-ring is for the big plate on the back of the pedestal. You need the seal on the piston which comes on the piston/rod assy.

Here it is apart

dealer dont even have the o-rings unless you buy the whole part $300+

I have both pedestal and turbo rebuilt kit.

unless those little orings are hiding in anohter place in the little baggy I do no have them in my turbo rebuild kit. I presume we mean the same thing when you say reinstall kit?

no matter cause I can't wait any longer to order and ship parts. I am ready to put it all back together. if it leaks there I wont see it cause I have a van and look from the back side
