Stupidest Truck on the planet

Specs 1994 F250 IDI Turbo 2wd auto 176k

Mought this truck back in April from a friend for $2500, it was suposed to be a cheap reliable rust free DD/tow rig

The day i bought it

what it was suposed to tow

Build thread for Jeep The Stupidist Jeep on the Planet - NAXJA Forums -::- North American XJ Association

anyways got it home and next day blew a rear brakeline, while under the truck i noticed the spring hangers were swiss cheese. Went aahead and bought new hangers

where did everything go?

all back together, also added pypes 3" M80 muffler(does no muffling) and 3" tailpipe and 5" tip to replace leaky stock stuff

while pulling everything out to replace the spring hangers i learned that the rear brakes were junk once i pulled off the drums the rear spring literally fell out, and both rear shocks were toast. also shortly after both batteries died at the same time, so the truck sat more(i was enjoying taking out my fustration on the jeep and building the cage for it)

Tried selling with no good offers so ive decided to get it on the road again, started with ditching the stock intake for the CAI off my old cherokee it actually uses the stock Jeep elbow, i will be using a piece of 3" exhaust tubing and Wix 46637 Filter for the final piece with the jeep elbow

next weekend ill be picking up a set of 16x9 American Racing Black Artillery wheels wrapped in a set of 285/75R16 BFG AT's after that will be brakes, shock batteries and radius arm bushing, future mods will include turned up IP and turbo, Banks dp, and maybee ZF5/4wd swap, ive always been into building Jeeps so this is a whole new venture, looking forward to it and learning all the tips and tricks with these trucks

Unfortunately, I have to agree. $2500 for a 1994 truck with 176K? I would not have given a "friend" $500 for the thing.

I'm not seeing what's wrong with a '94 Turbo Diesel (relatively) rust free for $2500? Sounds about in the ball-park. It's also quite obvious from the post that the "Stupidest Truck on the Planet" thing is meant to be lighthearted.

Here in WI, that would probably go for 1500 to 2000 tops because it's 2wd, other places it would probably be more expensive.

Well yeah

Idk about around there but here $2500 is on the high side but not totally unreasonable for a 2WD, I was just poking fun.

name came from my Jeep build, friend nicknamed it that due to the wide stance, i figured id carry it over to the truck, obviously is had a couple hidden issues, but 1kish worth of work and it be mint, as far as price thats what a "rust free" truck goes for up here, not to mention there pretty rare, not to mention a frt d60 can be had up here fore dirt cheap for when the 4wd swap comes

i think once you get it running and driving reliably you are gonna be glad you bought it.You may even like tinkering and working on it more then your jeep.I think thats a good price for the truck,176k is low mileage and it has little to no body rust.As joe dirt would say"keep on keepin on" and it will get there.

A rust free supercab long bed diesel? Heck ya, around here it's worth that kind of money. Surely all depends on where you are standing!!

Unfortunately they do have their issues with rust on the chassis. Good luck with it.

Tires look good, don't care for the fake beadlock wheels.
