2013 F250 powerstroke vs 2013 F150 ecoboost

Howdy everyone, I'm new here and am unsure of where to place this question so Mods please move as appropriate. I currently drive a 2008 F150 supercrew 4x4 with the 6.5 box and am considering getting a new truck in the not too distant future. I really like the space and appearance and generally everything about the F250 powerstroke but cost is a slight factor. This would be my first diesel and it's difficult to find much objective information about the advantages and disadvantages of this truck. Additionally, I've heard that the F150 ecoboost has similar (not the same obviously) torque and power and it also boasts decent fuel economy. I don't do a ton of hauling but will be helping with some ranch work and possibly pulling of trees next summer and want to be ready. Therefore, my question is, what exactly are the major advantages and disadvantages to the powerstroke as opposed to the F150 ecoboost?

Thanks, and Gig-em!

Why not get a 250 with the gas? The space and appearance are the same with the gasser as the diesel, just a different motor (and different price tag). Unless you're stuck on havin' a diesel, go for it. It's a workhorse for sure...

So yeah, check out the 6.2, word is it's a pretty decent machine.

BTW, welcome to FTE!

Diesels require more maintenance to keep them running properly. If your not towing alot or to heavy the eco boost f-150 or a 6.2 gas superduty would do you right.

I've driven both the 6.7 and Eco-Boost f-150, they're both great power houses. The 6.7 is a beast in it's stock form. If you really want the diesel go for it, you wouldn't regret it

drive the f250 6.2 gasser. Like said above. If you aren't towing heavy and just want something for occasional towing/hauling etc and want the availability of crew cab AND an 8 foot bed, the 250 is the only choice.

If you are towing and hauling a lot, then I recommend the diesel. If not, the ecoboost or a Super Duty with a 6.2L would suit your needs better.
