New Battery Problems

Put new battery in my 2007 F-250 V-10 and now the computer seems to be messed up. How do I reset it?

Hi dala, I moved your post from the new members thread into its own thread.

How is the computer messed up?

computer adjustment

Since the battery was replaced, the idle is irradical and very low (450 rpm's). Can't rev up the engine while in neutral or park. Acceleration is not responsive. What do you think?

It may tell you in the owners manual but not sure. I replaced mine a ways back and did the escapes battery. I had to let idle for 1 minute then 1 minute with aircondition on, then drive 10 miles to reset computer so it could relearn idle speeds.

This is from the 2007 Owners Manual, concerning jumping your truck, but it applies in your case also:

After the disabled vehicle has been started and the jumper cables
removed, allow it to idle for several minutes so the engine computer can
relearn its idle conditions.

Your transmission may also has to relearn, so it may feel different for a while.
