HELP!! '99 F150 Rear Disc
I know it's strange, but i have a '99 F150 with rear disc from the factory (not swaped) I need to get the pads off the change them but I can't figure out how. Please can anyone help me? It would be the same I think for a HD or Lighting with Rear Disc. I have never done a rear disc brake job before. I have done front disc and rear drum but this is different. Thanks in advace.

HELP!! '99 F150 Rear Disc
I see 3 bolts. 1 Banjo fitting for the brake lines and two slid bolts for the front half of the caliper. You are saying I need to remove the front half of the caliper by removing the two slide bolts? It looks as if I cannot remove the caliper bracket until the roter is removed but the caliper holds the roter on. I am confused. If all i have to do is remove the two sllide bolts, cool. thanks for your response. I have seen others with the same question.

If all you are doing is replacing the pads you only have to remove the 2 slide bolts.
Remove the brake caliper bolts.
Lift the rear disc brake caliper off the rear disc brake caliper anchor plate.
Push the piston back into the caliper either with big water pump pliers or a C-clamp.
Replace the pads and reassemble.
