Hey buddy, I had my back fixed in 1999. I followed DOCs orders for three whole weeks, and about three years later my back felt a lot better.
Do what you are told. You'll be able to do lots of stuff soon, but nothing heavy for a very long time if you are smarter than me.
And the game sucks. I suspected ND doesn't belong in the top 5. Does your QB graduate this year? He's been on the team for about 6 years now it seems.

Dewayne, McCarron was a redshirt freshman in 2010 so he finishing his junior year and it's a shame that ND couldn't have brought their boy team
game is kinda disappointing ... I'd have like to have seen another Georgia game.

well.... still here... 1 month out from surgery... several therapy sessions done and still doing passive stuff... pendulum swings and curls... probably start on some cable stuff or elastic bands on Tuesday... still no raising the arm but I'm only in the couch cushion sling when I sleep still no pain and no problems... if you ever have to have ANYTHING done DON'T read anything on the internet...it will scare the bejesus out of you...
my ROM has increased from 40 percent at week two to 75 percent now (up and down) side to side is a little less and brings the pain sooner.

bad news... going back to work tomorrow... even with the surgery I've enjoyed a month off ... haven't enjoyed a month without paydays though. Luckily I had saved up some checks for bad times and we pretty much sailed thru it... now to build the fund back up ! It's gonna be hard getting up at 4:30 in the am !
had my sil come over and help me remove the radiator from the truck yesterday and today I installed the new slim Cooling Concepts fan on it... when he comes by again we'll drop it back in and I'll post a pic or two... I hooked it up to a battery and that that thing SUCKS !!! I mean serious air through the condenser and the radiator... I don't foresee any problems with cooling
and it all fits under the hood now !!!!! Body man working on the seam at the cowl and the rear edge of the hood, closing it up..... chip...chip...chip

I was always injuring my hands when I was younger (and dumber) at work. I realized that I would be screwed if I really jacked-up my right hand, so I slowly taught myself to use my left hand to write/eat/wipe (what else is there ). So now I can sign checks or type left handed which is good now because all these years of wrenching for a living my shoulders/hands/wrists and getting moody.
Keep the updates coming as some of us might be there soon.
Hope it all goes well.

John, Glad to hear you're healing well. I found the perfect trick for finishing (??) our trucks. I ran my mouth at work and said I wasn't going to retire until I was driving the '54. I'm out of here April 30 so you know what that means. Cruisin' the Coast was the first time out of the garage. Planning now to make it to the Supernationals in May. I just don't know where in Pigeon Forge it's going to be, but My Bride of 41 years and I can hardly wait! Later, Steve

jniolon, sounds like you are getting along pretty well. It should be quite a good feeling when you finally heal and have lots of movement again. I have a good friend who has had a bad hip for 35 years from a motorcycle accident. He just had a new hip joint operation and is on a walker while healing, but he already has much more movement than he has for years. He is learning to walk upright all over again. I may not recognize him standing and walking straight.

John,
Glad to hear the recovery is moving right along. Bummer about going back to work but I fully understand the need for sustenance.
Excellent news on the fan/water pump etc. Hopefully that will be enought to prevent a major re-engineering ordeal. Keep at it (working and healing) we're all pulling for you
