Good evening all. Any of my knowledgeble Ford friends out there know about frame fitment issues with putting a 302 into my '76 f150 4x4. Currently has the 360 in it with C6 tranny. I know about the trans. difference needing to switch to a small block version, but wondered about frame Towers/Perches/Mounts etc. THANKS JEFF

 

My understanding is the perches and mounts are different. Finding a donor with this setup should be easy.

Question... Why? As in whats you reasoning or motivation in doing this?

 

Are you doing this swap for mileage considerations? regardless of the reason i'd consider a 300 6 instead, it's a much better truck motor than the 302, and it already shares the same towers as your 360FE.
