On vacation without my AE, anyone in Wenatchee WA?
We are in Leavenworth for the week and on our way over the pass the Excursion started running like one of the UVC harnesses came apart. I didn't think to pack my AE and now don't have a way to check it out. The condo parking lot isn't the ideal place to do exploratory surgery with the limited tools I have with me.
Anyone in the area that can help out?

I can head that way as well. I'm still putting Stinky back together this evening, but I'll be functional by tomorrow (I hope). I have a spare UVCH and gasket that is aged, but was working when I pulled it out. PM me with contact info and 2000ca250 and I will get you up and going. I have to go to Sea Tac on Sunday, so you can have an escort if needed (assuming you're from the wet side... everybody else is). Let me know if you need anything from Wenatchee, I know oompaland can get stuff... but it takes time.

OK guys, the saga gets weirder. A friend is here with his F250 and has an Edge CTS. He says "lets pull my Edge out of my truck and see if we can pull codes from yours". So, we try it, no luck, but now the Excursion is running fine. Just put 20 or so miles on it and not a miss. I'm confused and a little worried about when it will start acting up again.
Yes, Tugly I am from the wet side. Everett to be exact. I don't like the idea of going over Stevens pass the way it was running, but now I'm not sure what the heck the problem was/is.

I'll offer help as well, however I am not free until Sunday and am a little weary of driving over that direction due to the fact that I am running less than practical tires. If you dont feel like driving over steven's, and feel more comfortable going over snoqualmie I can offer a warm garage sunday night and monday to trouble shoot if anything comes up on the way. Have pretty much every tool you would need and can offer my help. If I had better tires I would be up for driving over there thursday to help out. Unfortunately I had a blow out on mine and ended up having to borrow a mixed set of AT and street tires from a buddy that are suspicious for any long trip. However if Bryant heads over there friday, I'm down to ride up there with him as long as I could be back in Ellensburg by 5.

Long day in Chelan yesterday, multiple failures at work. I got Stinky's passenger side buttoned up, the driver side is tonight (I hope again). When is the trip home planned? My deadline on the other side is Sunday afternoon, but my schedule is wide open because my second vacation starts this Friday afternoon for the visiting kids/grandkids from around the country. You can use my heated garage, we can check things there, or I can escort your trip back (my Wildcountry XTXs are brand new). I have AE, parts, tools, tow strap, EPIRB, a bug-out bag, and two video players onboard. Getting stuck on a closed pass is nothing new to us Washingtonians.
For what it's worth, I drove from Reno to Wenatchee with a lifting injector (I later learned) and a double-miss while getting 18.5 MPG... these 7.3Ls can take a lot and still get you home.

The trip home is Sunday, any time. I drove it some more last night and it is still running OK, but it takes longer to start than normal. Maybe we can come your way at some point in the next few days and see what it's issue might be.
A caravan over the pass might just be in order as they are talking about 2 feet of new snow this weekend. We do get our share of closed passes here, but the road crews that work Stevens are great about it not taking too long to re-open it.
