I will be selling a pair of 1 1/2 to 2", leveling, 400lb springs soon. I am currentty running them with 2" Daystar spacers. I wanted a 4" lift but couldn't find a spring under 440lbs. I am getting some custom made 350lb Deaver's for 4" of lift. It may be up too 4 weeks before I get them. I got a 351W and no extra weight up front but for a blower at 30lbs or so.

fordka,

Do yo have a heavy, non-stock, bumper, winch or any other heavy stuff up front?

Is the inline 6 heavier than a V8?

Many do go with leveling springs since the front does sit lower than the rear in stock form. Then if the coils sag over time it looks much worse and the front may end up 3" or more lower than the back.

If you get the winch bumper and winch and you have the 366lb springs you'll then be needing 400+ pound springs.

If you level it, even the inch and one half will require an alignment.

Have you checked-out the Graveyard? 1980-96 Ford Truck/bronco - Springs - Coil Springs

I'll also mention that you can use some spacers, big-azz washers under the bottom coil mount, to dial-in height you want. I have added up to three for about an additional 3/4".

Good luck!

Even those 630lb coils wont have a "bone jarring" ride. Most of the aftermarket TTB lift coils have a similiar spring rate, so if you have ever rode around in a lifted TTB you should know approximately how stiff the high GVWR springs will be.

I got to disagree, TTB lift springs are not that stiff. I have combined what I have researched below.

TTB Lift Springs:
BDS - 1-2" - 400lbs, 4" - 455lbs, ext. cab - 485lbs
Rough Country – 400lbs.
Skyjacker - 560lbs.
Rancho – 1-2” = 380lbs. 4” = 460lbs.
Eibach Mfr #: 3542.42, 1.5" Lift, Progressive rate - 383lbs. per inch over 450. $166
Superlift 1.5" - 400 (Bronco/standard cab truck) and 565lbs. (heavy duty and extended cab truck)
Procomp - 4" - 475lbs.
Superflex TTB - 5.5" Not progressive though it looks that way (I got that strait from Deaver)! 400lbs
