1999 f250 dome light, door ajar?

Door ajar and dome light stays on until the truck gets to 15mph, then comes back on when you slow below 12mph or so. WD-40'd all latches... Started doing it after washing the truck this afternoon.

Thanks for any help.

Jason.

There is a $20 switch in the door. Mine went faulty once. A bit tricky to get at but it is doable. gl!

You can keep trying to clean/lube the latches. But I would check for water intrusion, near the GEM/fuse panel area as a possibility.

You might have a leaky windshield(pretty common actually) or leaking cab lights if you have them.

With any luck though, it may dry out and work fine.

Well guys, the dome light and door ajar returned back to normal (either the WD-40 worked or the GEM dried out) but now the driver's door won't stay shut and I have to slam the hell out of it to get it shut. I guess the lubricant made something in the latch too slick! Hopefully it will come back to normal without having to adjust the door because it was perfect before.

Thanks for the help.
