Hi All,

I recently purchased a 2000 Expedition 5.4 with a Paxton Novi 2000 on it. It's a great truck with only 73K on it.

It drives fine but never seemed to have as much "go" as other Paxton-equipped trucks I've driven over the years.

Long story short, I cleaned the K&N filter and MAF this morning and was reinstalling the ducting and noticed that the elbow that connects onto the back of the S/C has a large split around the entire edge of the lip where the clamp goes.........I'm thinking this is why I'm losing boost, any input? See pictures below.





Now the big question......I know Paxton discontinued this kit for the 5.4 Fords awhile back. Anyone know of a source for the replacement elbow?

Have you called Paxton to see if they have anything NOS?

 

BeechKid- Thanks for the idea, if I can't get an original/replacement part, I'll be trying to fab up something like that.

Chris- I'm going to put a call into Paxton first thing Monday morning, I just found the split this morning. Thanks for the suggestion.

 

That blower must sound nice on your truck. I've got a novi2k kit for my Mustang waiting to go on.
