Smokey When Cold.....

As its been real cold lately, and I assume it's normal, but why are diesel's smokey when you first start them in the cold. Shortly after, it goes away. Good thing I can plug it in!

it is due to incomplete combustion do it it being cold as she warms up the combustion efficiency is improved and you dont "smoke" aka unburnt fuel

Okay, thanks. Well, that explains it then. Now to go wash off this ugly metal rotting salt!!
