5.0L Trouble

Hey guys.
So I recently traded my Little honda civic for my beauty and beast 94 F150XLT 5.0 with the Aode auto tranny in it. I love the truck but there are a few issues with it that I can't seem to figure out. I have been a mechanic for the past 6 years so stuff like this doesn't generally take this long.

heres the trouble i'm having. It runs fine but if I take a turn or going up a hill it feels like the tranny wont downshift and I lose almost all fuel pressure. Say the truck is in 3rd, when I hit a hill it won't downshift to 2nd to get me up the hill and the truck goes into a lub, lub, lub, lub mode with no power to it. if feels like i'm towing a diesel filled with bricks.

Any suggestions as to what it may be?
I have already replaced the plugs and wires.
I've been told so far it's either a vacuum leak, my alternator, fuel pressure, or my tranny going out.
I can't find a vacuum leak, according to the last owner a new transmission was just put in it 50k ago.
I do know my rear main seal is leaking

Check for any codes first.

I'd suspect a bad TPS.

Check the transmission wiring right where it contacts the frame, might be damaged there. Clean all of the wire connections for the trans too.

You can test the TPS with a multimeter. Grab a shop manual or chiltons manual for the right voltages. Should be .9 vdc at idle if I remember right. Intake air charge temp sensor will cause loss of power too. Can't help with the tranny!

To me that sounds like a vacuum leak, you should check that again. Even a stretched throttle cable could cause that.

I will check that again. I actually plan on replacing/ rebuilding the entire truck once I get my other car working and can live without my baby for a while.

@Encho you seem to have the exact same truck as me, How do I check to see if my tranny is the Aode or Eo4d?

Your memory is failing you. Anything between 0.6-1.0 VDC is acceptable for the closed throttle TPS voltage.

P0705 Transmission Range Sensor out of Self-Test Range or Shorted to Ground

I had never seen it before and the master tech I work under as well as the parts house guy both said to replace the tranny speed sensor

You have a 1994 F150 giving OBD-II codes. I don't think so. Your truck should have 3 digit OBD-I codes.

And the reference to Transmission Range Sensor is most likely the Manual Lever Position Sensor (MLPS) on the driver side of the transmission.

Check the door jamb sticker.

Trans. Code E is an E4OD (No transmission speed sensor)

Trans. Code U is a 4R70W/AODE
