just finished wiring the EBPV, TC. did get my EBPV right?

After a whole afternoon worth of hard work (not too cold, 35 degree) on the driveway, the entire system worked flawlessly, electronically till now. I then start to connect to 12V wire from the switch to the EBPV plug, at least that I thought it was, not very sure anymore. The one I wired into is an electrical solenoid thing with a vacuum line going in and another going out to a diaphragm actuator which drives a valve thing on the turbo with a lever. This is on top of the turbo. There is another one on the bottom. Is the one I wired into the right one or is it the other one? If so, where is the connector for the other one. Kind of tired and frustrated. Thx. Erwin <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

well just figured out. The top one I was thinking is the wastegate. However, it's connected to the turbo output and input, don't understand. The right EBPV is way behind and under the turbo, with that two wire connector and a spring loaded clip. I guess that the reason I was thrown off a bit if because this 1999 is very different than my old 95.

Glad you got it figured out, the EBPV is located in the exhaust outlet, and driven by a piston in the turbo pedestal. The wastegate actuator is mounted on the front of the intake spyder and uses boost pressure to activate the diaphram mounted to the compressor housing that pushes a rod to open the wastegate inside the turbine housing.

I'm so glad that I got small hands when I was trying to reach that little connector. Even after it's unplugged, it's still so hard to work with, the pigtail is barely enough to clear everything in the way. Was able to cut and splice and plug back in. Everything (ebpv, tcl and gpr) tested out well.
