FYI My wife own a resturant. She use to give a guy her fry oil waste. He was using it for his farm machinery. In the last year some waste management company that she uses pays her very well for the used grease unfiltered. They in turn are turning it into bio... This company gave her a big dumpster to collect the grease. She caught two peeps trying to steal it. Now she has the dumpster locked. It's a hard world out there everyone trying to save a buck.

I'm reviving this thread because I'm wondering if I can mix B100 and WVO to get some sort of balance between cost and power/wear. I found a new bio place around here that also sells WVO for about half the price of bio. Can I mix the two and get the average price without harming the engine?

Check out golden fuel systems on the internet, I run my 7.3 excursion on free used veggie oil my only cost is filters. If you look around you can find very good used veggie oil.

I'm curious if there has been any developments in converting 7.3 turbo to waste veggie oil?

Any success/failures?

The only place that advertized their price for bio-diesel was $10/gal.

Used Veg Oil

Just poured 10 gallons of used veg oil into tank, used a fine screen to filter out any food debris, it was clean looked like engine oil brown in color. It did have some sediments at bottom of container, just didn't pour out the last Qt. out. Tank had about 5 gal of diesel in it just top it off with the veg oil.
Just purchased the 1995 F250 Power Stroke with 260K miles for $1500. What I did notice when I took it for a drive was a noticeable gain in power, engine ran quieter & popcorn odor emitting from the tailpipe. Will keep you up to date if the injectors clog up or engine locks up. Not running any type of extra filters or heaters on tanks, its May now & Texas should stay above 40F for a few months.
If anybody has any experience running veg oil on a Power Stroke would like to know about it.
