What you describe is most often symptomatic of a throw-out bearing problem. Is the T/O bearing new and properly lubricated?

I suppose it could be either, but the noisy ones I've had have been quiet(er) when engaged. I've never had one that was bad out of the box though.

What about when you have it in 4th gear, is it still equally as noisy? My M5 is clearly most quiet when in 4th. Prior to my swapping in a new fork, 1-2-3 & 5 were noisy; they're still louder than 4th, but tolerable.

The noise seems to be the same in any gear. No clutch fork in this style T/O and slave is one assembly they are inserted over input shaft and bolted to front of trans inbetween bell housing and clutch assembly. I was also wondering I didnt install pilto bearing is that a posability? stupid me i should have installed one didnt even think about it.

There again, it would be noisy when the clutch pedal is pushed down. Think about it, when the clutch pedal is up the flywheel containing the pilot bearing and the input shaft turn together, pilot bearing not turning. When the clutch pedal is down, the input shaft quits turning but the engine and flywheel are still turning, so the pilot bearing is turning.

Well a couple people online is saying it must be the input shaft bearing? I know i seated the bearing all the way so im not sure how or why it is making noise. I think im going to drive it a bit and see what happens. wish me luck lol thanks for your help.
