Truck totaled in Houston.

Just wrecked in Houston. Frame is bent bad in the front. Most likely totaled. So, any 99-03s for sale? Gonna need to drive one back home.

What? No shops with a frame jig and torches? It seems that nobody fixes anything in this country any more.

I've seen frames with ninety-degree bends in the frame, albeit forward of the front suspension, get straightened, have new sheet metal hung, and then drive and look like new again.

Do you HAVE to give up on this one, or does your insurance company want you to because it's cheaper for them?

Haven't had the adjuster look yet. Still waiting to hear back from the claim rep.

The baby Chevrolet wrecker had to pull it from the rear, the 7.3 up front picked his tires off the ground. (He extended the boom out an extra couple feet to get both tires up, but I enjoyed taking the picture. It was the inly way I let him hook up to Gus.)

That pic of the chebbie wrecker with front paws in the air is a classic!

Sorry to hear about the truck tho. Looks terminal, but I'm no expert.

I shoulda took a few pics of underneath. It's bent behind the front axle though. Got some driver side leaf damage for sure. Killed the radiator for sure, brake booster power steering is gone. Tie rods for sure. Driver/pass fender for sure. Still runs, so ECM IDM should be ok. Couldn't get the hood up to see inside.

So, IF a shop can fix the frame, he might come back to life with just a new front end, and a few replacement parts under the hood.

bummer dude. Hold out and see what it'll take to "buy it back". Maybe a few hundred buks, and then part it out/fix it yourself/strip off of what you want from it....

That looks like it was a pretty good lick. I'm with everyone else...buy it back and put all that good stuff to use on another truck. TONS of them for sale in the Houston area. You are in the diesel resale capitol of the world! Seriously....

My "buy it back" option is slightly limited, unless a Houston member wants to house it/buy it. I'm 800 or so miles from home. Plus, it's my daily driver, I'll need something pretty quick. Other than the recent damage, it's a dented up tailgate and the common tear in the driver seat. Everything else about the truck was solid.

I'm going to try and recover the toolbox, the chip, an the gooseneck hitch for sure.

IDM, CPS, IPR, ICP, Any upgraded turbo items like your riffraff boots, GPR 109, leave that k&n intake and pick up a 6637 as it is much better, all pillar gauges and the pod, swap crappy tires for your other ones, take the spin on filter if you had it for your hutch mod, brush guard if it is repairable but you would need a good hydraulic press for that it looks like, any upgraded lights that are installed. Bummer.
Are they saying it is your fault or the other guy's fault? Was everyone OK?
