Ok, I just went back out and started it up. Smoked bluish real bad, and I revved it up to 2500 rpm several times. Then it really started running bad, like two injectors dropped out. I tryed to rev it to 2500 again with it running real bad and there is no smoke. So I unplugged the UVCH plug for #6 and #8 injector, the same one as before, and absolutely no change. So now I'm back to UVCH again. I picked up another one from Napa while I was out just in case. I'm going to put it on and see what it does. Update later.

I put a new one from IH in it about a month ago. I just changed the driver's side UVCH and gasket. It's running better now, but still have the rough idle and some bluish white smoke. I'm going to change the other side this evening and see if it helps. They are also the Napa kits, but if it fixes it, I'll order all new ones from Riffraff as soon as I can, because if that is the problem, then the Napa ones only lasted a couple months.

Bill,
I sent you a PM.

Handy double page 7.3L Powertrain Control System Schematic,
Shows all the parts of the Rig, the CPS is called the CAMP in the upper
left. It is very helpful for troubleshooting.

Click on the Link, then click on the image again to enlarge it.

Here is another copy that I lightened up a bit.

Thanks for the info Russ.

When the IDM senses something wrong with an injector, it shuts down that bank, correct? And I'm assuming the term "bank" means the two injectors on that harness, is that right?

Ok, so the IDM will shut down one whole side of the engine. I was thinking it was thinking it was just the two.

It was just the two that were shutting down, but when those two shut down, there was no more smoke.

The IDM will shut down a bank if there is a solenoid voltage issue . I have never seen it from a wiring or a poppet problem ...

It was just the #6 and #8 injectors shutting down this morning. When I unpluuged the harness to those two, no change, so I changed the harness. Now it's just back to the same old thing, idles like it's on 7 cylinders and bluish eye burning smoke. When those two injectors were unplugged, there was no smoke.
