Fuel leak from filter fittings

ok I have leak from the discharge 90* compression fitting and I purchased the new "orings" from international today and got the one on the inlet side on easily but the one one the discharge side is stuck in the nut is there any tricks to getting that rubber out without pulling the line if I do have to pull the line ok but the only way I know to get it out would be to cut the line and I would REALLY prefer to not do that been trying for an hour and giving up for the night because I am out of light here are the orings from diamond international kcmo
all help is appriciated

i haven't had to fight mine yet, but it seems to me that you should be able to take a small pick and slowly work it out. a little wd40 or something might help soften the rubber and make it easier

and FWIW, those rubbers in your pic are often called "olives"
