CPB1 - I used the e-series battery boxes that mount on the frame rail. I have the extra batteries for auxilliary power (inverter, etc). They are wired into the alternator - with a battery isolator so that the primary batteries are not drawn down when the aux batteries are used hard.

So you don't use four batteries to start the truck? I thought since these trucks are so taxing on batteries this would be a good idea, spreed the load over four batteries.

I never thought of using battery boxes from a van, also great idea. So now you have all the power you need where ever your truck goes, AC and DC. Wow, so much to learn here.

Same here...noticed with SC II. Truck starts then voltage goes up 30 seconds or more later. Never charges instantly.

Does anyone have the directions or video for installing the DC alternator with the extra cable, watching my CTS while going to work and heading home with lights on I'm only showing around 13.8 to 12.9, so I'll defently need a new alternator since the battery's are new.
