As to your original question, cam selection is a bit more involved than just asking which is best. With the combination you have now, you'll need a very small cam, like whatever stocker is now in there, because adding lift or duration will just compound your poor-flowing heads all the more, and wil most likey make less power than you are now. Before throwing good money after bad, ditch those heads for something that fits (A) your budget, and (B) the intended use of the engine. Personally, if it were me, I'd go through an Edelbrock catalog and pick a set of heads, a cam, an intake and a carb that were designed to work together. Edelbrock is one of the few companies that builds these parts as part of a system, plus everything they make is made in the US and if you have a problem, just pick up the phone and they will help. Also, FWIW, OEM small block Ford heads don't even flow well enough for the small block they came on. I personally have a pair of '69 351W heads on my mild 306 ci Ford.

Cam Selection for 94 351

If your 94 351 is stock and not a Lightning engine, it should have a roller cam. I would stick with the roller cam and lifters, since they make more torque and get better gas mileage. There are many aftermarket cams available, but you need to make sure what you have first. Like what other guys said, the casting numbers you gave indicate 1985 heads. C means 60's, D means 70's, E means 80's, etc. The number after the letter indicates what year . E5 means 85. A set of E7TE heads from a 5.8 would work much better, and respond well to porting.

The E5 heads are basically the same as E7's. No difference there.

You need to start your own thread, you're only "muddying the waters" here. If you are the OP of this thread, then you need to pick one screen name and ditch the others.
