I need a inline 6 223 mount

Okay guys im 15 and im trying to restore my 57 f100, I have an inline 6 223. Im trying to finish my truck before I get my license. I dont know where to get the front mount for my engine that goes to the frame. I would post pictures so you could see my truck but I dont know how, I posted it to gallery. So I can buy one from someone or something if its not too expensive.

According to the 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog: 1957/59 F100/250 223 I-6's use right and left engine support brackets and rubber insulators.

B7TZ-6028-A .. Right Engine Support / Obsolete

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 1 = 800-543-4959.

AITKEN MOTOR CO. in Aitken MN has 1 = 218-927-2169.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 1 = 800-476-9653.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
B7TZ-6029-A .. Left Engine Support / Obsolete

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
-----------------------------------------------
B7C-6038-B .. Right Rubber Insulator / Obsolete

CARPENTER HAS 2.

GREEN SALES has 7.
--------------------
B9TT-6039-A .. Left Rubber Insulator / Obsolete

CARPENTER has 358.

I thought there was a metal mount at the front of the engine that goes from the ngine to the frame.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html

I think I have one

I'll need to check, I may have scrapped it with the engine (I put in a 292), if I have it I'll let you know. You can have it, just pick up the shipping.

Sorry, I must have chucked it with the motor.

I just back from the shed and it looks like I only kept the generator. One thing to try is to contact member on ebay selling 57 f100 stuff. They often don't list what they don't think people don't need. The other place to try is http://classicfordtrucks.shutterfly.com/. Sorry I can't help more than some leads.

I hear you.

I was going to swap out the 292 (The 6 was in my parts truck), but opted to keep it to leave the 3 on the tree. A SB ford will give you more power, better part selection, and the parts are much cheaper.

OK...I'll send you my parts list...LOL.

Actually, I'm checking with someone I know to see if he has the mounts. I'll let you know if he has them. To be honest the conversion is pretty easy, so if you opt for the swap keeping what you know might not be a bad thing.
