89 ATS 093 Turbo ??

I have a ATS 093 Turbo that came off a 7.3L w/ a zf 5 spd. I think I saw that the turbo pipes were different between the E4OD and ZF 5 spd, ie they would not work. I haven't been able to relocate the thread that was talking about it. I would appreciate anyones input as to whether or not they will or will not interchange.

Thanks, hugger94

ATS 093 turbo pipes will fit auto or manual trans. no difference in pipes for that turbo.

Thanks for clearing that question up, I am assuming that earlier models of the ATS turbo which I recall the model numbers of, the pipes weren't interchangable?

94IDITurbo7.3 ? or anyone I have a specific ?

I don't have access to a e4od, my F250 (C6) dipstick is located on the passenger side next to the firewall, assume the e4od is located in the same place.

I have been asked specifically if you have to reroute the e4od dipstick with this 093 turbo? This 093 turbo is matched up with a ZF 5-42 2wd tranny and I want to make sure that I am giving correct information regarding it fitting on either e4od and/or ZF 5-42 manual transmissions.

Are there any other problems/issues that would be encountered in installing this ATS 093 Turbo with a e4od tranny?

Again, thanks for all input as this site has been a lifesaver more times than not.

Make sure you can get a dipstick tube specifically for the E4OD. Mine came with one ment for a C6 and it wouldn't work. I ended up just deleting the tube altogether and cutting the dipstick down the right amount to just use the short tube on the tranny. The obvious drawback is having to go underneath the truck to check fluid level.

The buyer already has a e4od in his truck. I'm reading your post to mean that as long as he has the existing e4od dipstick it will work with this ATS 093 Turbo setup? Or would we need a separate e4od dipstick specifically designed for the ATS 093 Turbo?

Sorry to be so dense! This is a new area for me.

Thanks for the reply, hugger94

When the kit was sold new it came with a new dipstick for the auto trans.
You will need to either modify the existing dipstick or find one (good luck finding one...)

Kevind95,

After reviewing the posts on this thread, I am not sure. I was just documenting the information/part number the dipstick tube so it would be lost.

Sorry, hugger94
