Well boy's we're here, safe n sound. Already been over to see the new place, real nice looking home, was actually worried about renting a home 1000 miles away, sight unseen. But it's nicer than I was hoping for. Already met a neighbor, and a redneck!!! He just brought home an 8 pointer, and is going to fix us up with some fresh deer meet!!! I see a pot of Chilli in the near future!
We're in another hotel, for the last night. Just over 940 miles from our door step to the new place.
We're gonna figure out something for dinner, and I think I'll pop a top!
Rich thanks for posting those pictures. You all are great friends. Be safe on your travles tomorrow, and it's your last time.

Well morning to all, my early day starts with a few well placed 223 rounds in some pesky coyote's. Around here you do not bother the livestock or else!
Usually the "alarm" donkey's take care of them, but I think the pack mentality gave them a little dose of testosterone. My M-4 gave them a dose of lead poisoning.
And no deer were harmed in this forum reply.....
Morning folks.

Evening All!
I got the '56 buttoned up today and took it for a spin. I got real lucky with a $50 used swap meet transmission. It works perfectly. ...WHEW! I had to fabricate dang near everything to get the trans bolted in, but it turned out nice. I used my B&M shifter in it. It's not so bad to reach for since I lowered the seats. Of course somewhere along the way I lost the shift arm that bolts to the gear selector, so I had to make one of those, too.
It's all good. It's done. ....On to the next headache.

Congrats on arriving in one piece Bob..
Rich - take care over there. We'd really like you back in one piece.
Well - nothing much going on over here. I turned in my paperwork to have Thursday off so I can work on this blasted 4Runner. The gaskets and such should be in Thursday AM so I no longer have any excuse. Time to put on my grease-monkey pants and get busy. Now, if I could channel some of Alan's wrenching skills, I'd have it made in the shade.

I voted and have tried to encourage everyone I know to go out and vote as well. I was always told you can't b**ch if you didn't vote. I sure don't want to miss out on all that complaining over the next few years, no matter who wins!
