Hey Pat! I'm still around. Finished a job two days ago, so I'm back to being retired. Wifey is gone today so I can play.

You know, you're not supposed to work when you're retired, it defeats the purpose.....LOL

What's happening out your way today?

Hey Bigdaddy! Thank you for your service. Fifteen years seems like a short time doesn't it? I remember those days well even though its been 41 years since my ETS. Sometimes I wish the Selective Service draft were still in place Maybe it would straighten up some of these kids today. Most probably wouldn't qualify.

We get a lot of guys that have retired from here that come back during our refueling outages to work. A nice little supplement for them, for a months worth of work.

I believe I've said it before, Thank you for your service Pat.
You're the youngest you'll ever be right now. Doesn't seem right, does it? Are you back online at work or still shutdown?

It's nice that they let an old goat come back and prove to himself that he can still do it. Myself, I've accepted that I ain't what I use to be but it doesn't make it hurt less.

Well, most of the work isn't all that physical. I will probably do that, when I retire, unless I'm completely sick of this place!LOL

It gives a guy something to do other than work in the garden or sit under a tree and drink beer. That doesn't sound too bad, I just hate falling out of the chair.

That's why I'm putting up a shop, hopefully next year. I call it my retirement building. I love my wife, but we both know, that if we're stuck in the same house together, for 24 hours a day, the story will end "and then He (or she) turned the guy on themself..."...LOL!

Plus, I'll have a place to hide when my daughter turns into a teenager, and the drama gets to be too much!

I've got my wood shop to hide in. Plus, Wifey likes what comes out the door. I lived through a teenage girl and survived, you'll do the same. My daughter is going to be 44 in January. Just keep your shotgun loaded with rock salt behind the front door. How is the new house doing? I like the fence.

Thanks, the fence did come out nice! House is coming along nicely. Finally got the 67 cab in the garage, and now I park Black in the garage. Can't tell you how nice that will be this winter, not scraping frost every damn day! I do woodworking also, so it will be nice to have room for that, too.

My son is living over your way in Ames Iowa and works at the USDA lab since April. He and the GF have been to Omaha for the Huskers games this fall also. we've been there a couple of times helping him move in. They both had a bunch of crap to take over.
