Blew a head gasket on my newly purchased 05 6.0 Excursion. Talk about bummer. Called up Garrett @ powerstroke magic here in Houston. Talk about fast service. He went out of his way to meet me off hours to drop off truck on Sunday. Then quick turnaround. His shop had me back on the road by Thursday evening. ARP studs, coolant flush, elc coolant, egr welded, new oil cooler, coolant filter, 2 injectors, updated fittings, stand pipes, dummy plugs, resealed block leaks, i am sure i am missing some thing. Sct tuner with innovatives extreme street and tow tunes. Talk about wake the Ex up. Very professional and i recommend powerstroke magic to anyone. Thanks

I wouldn't recommend powerstroke magic to fix a bicycle chain. I know WAY TOO MANY first hand horror stories about that shop and their outrageous pricing. STAY AWAY.

Just curious about those numbers, even accounting for drivetrain loss?

According to this link the stock HP is at least 325 and tq is 560-570:

the 325 you see is just the engine being dynoed, you typically loose roughly 20%hp or more with heavy drive train by the time it gets to the rear wheels.
so unless it's advertise as RWHP then is just the engine numbers

@npccpartsman

Can you please recommend a good shop in the Houston/NW Houston area.

I need to have a relative's Diesel truck checked up and maintained.

Thank you

Thank you, I will reach out to him.

I was wondering what feedback you had on powerstroke magic (in Cypress, TX), as you recommended staying away from it? Unless it is a different one!

My truck is there for some work for the first time.

Thank you

That was a long time ago and lots of things have probably changed, that's why I recommended you talk to Raz. I don't want to give out bad information, I want to give out CORRECT information and in this case I just don't have that anymore, but thanks for asking. I'd be glad to help if I could.
