Cool! I think it's funny you are swapping in the factory air box when all the 7.3 guys swap them out.

Not ALL of us 7.3 guys swap out the factory air box.
MY LATE '99 F350 7.3 has the factory air box and its perfectly fine!
I know some of them leak, but NOT mine, and I really don't like the 6637 filter swap either, it makes alot of noise and alot of them are ugly sitting there.
There ARE HD filters made to fit the factory air box.
Fram makes one and also Purolator makes one-the PURE ONE line.

Okay, fair enough. I prefer the 6637, but if I towed heavy loads often, I probably would go with an AIS so I wouldn't have to listen to all that noise.

Are you using the 4R100?

sorry it took so long to get back

I guess my next question would be why you chose that engine compared to a later PSD or a Cummins? What was your criteria; towing power, fuel mileage, other?

I was going to do a Cummings but they think there ***** is like gold, I wasnt going to pay 5000.00 for an engine

I didnt go with a Power Stroke because of the computer and the cost of repairs one set of injectors will run you 2000.00!

I got my 91 F250 IDI in a semi-running state for 500.00 complete, Shoved it in my 78 and put a turbo on it....A complete set of injectors brand new for 300.00 if you put a stick behind it there is no computer only glow plug wire,Starter wire, Fuel shut off wire! Thats it

I have an automatic E4OD so it has the computer but it was pretty easy to modify the computer to fit.

Go into my album and check it out its completely documented.

1975 F350 Crew with a 2005 F360 6.0 Powertrain. Been going slow as I can only really work on it on the weekends. Going to end up being a 1975 Mega Cab F350 6.0 Powerstroke
