AOD Adjustment

I put an AOD Behind my 302. I guess I need to install a kickdown cable or rod. Does anyone know what type of gauge and size of thread will connect to the TV pressure port. Also any tips would be appreciated. My Tranny came with a Kickdown rod, is a cable better?

AOD Adjustment

AODs don't use a pressure port - it uses a bellcrank concentric with the shift lever. Early ones may have had a TV rod, but every one I've seen has a TV cable, and it MUST have it installed and adjusted correctly, or the transmission will be SEVERELY damaged by driving. You can see the adjusting clip in the Technical Drawings album in my sig link.
