Didn't know people wanted them. I had a perfect one that I cut up the day I got the truck.

They're usually good for about a hundred dollar bill on ebay, they're somewhat rare and bring in more than their actual worth.

Yep. I looked for a replacement for my truck for almost a year before grinnergetter hooked me up with one. I'll be bidding as long as the price isn't through the roof.

Yes, I want one for my rig. Going to move my radio when she goes back together.

I never knew about those, are they factory? My '79 didn't come with a cigarette lighter either, just the hole for one. There wasn't anything plugging it (but that doesn't mean there wasn't at one point). Cigarette lighter was an option though; it didn't come standard.

The cover for the lighter delete was just a little chrome plated hole cover that popped into the hole.
The parts catalog shows them with the part number 74245-S, the part number also has a black star next to it which means, even though it has a part number, it was never available over the counter as a replacement part.

Black Star: Not Serviced-Improvise / Cancelled, Obsolete, Not Replaced.

1990 O-S-I (Obsolete-Supercede-Interchange) Catalog: 74245-S2 (Plug Button 1" x 11/32") NR ~ Not Replaced.

Standard (hardware) parts shown in illustrations may not have the complete suffix, as you can see.

No one has any, but many dealers did not inventory standard parts, and many never threw them away. So a local dealer might have it.

This is what I call a boo-boo plug. I would look in hardware stores.

If anyone wants a 73-79 radio delete plate, I should be able to get at least one or two by Christmas time or earlier if you're really in need of one! PM me and let me know what you're willing to pay for one. Thanks
