Howdy
I hope everyone is doing well!
I just thought I drop in and see how everyone is doing, give an update on my old truck.
Still loving the Electric pump - Thanks for the Recommendation F250, and the pump typefour. Glowplugs are in good shape for this winter! Coolant is good new radiator is keeping this old girl cool.
. Replaced starter today, what a P.I.T.A that was, that top bolt was tricky but man when she turns over now one could easily mistake it for a PSD
. Tranny cooler and new TPS or FIPL whatever you want to call it really made my shifts smoother! (Still too scared/not sure of how to adjust it.)Haven't decided whether to replace all the battery cables with new or just redo the ends money is always an issue.
I'm leaking quite a bit of diesel fuel dripping down from the flex plate, Im guessing its a return line issue, really need to get in there and look at it better.
Also going through more oil than I ever have, It used to take maybe a quart between oil changes now its closer to 2.5 or 3. I haven't taken the time to figure out where im losing it from but its a problem. Luckily the oil isn't milky.
As it turns out trying to purchase parts to turbo these old rigs are even more difficult than I had imagined!
I ended up blowing 2500 on a 01 ford escort that was my daily driver for all of 3 weeks, the P.O. put a brand new head on it and new timing belt, yet stuck the factory tensioner on...
****ing thing jumped time while I was doing 75. Ill be pulling the head on that this weekend as I have no compression on any of the 4 cyls... I have decided that I will wait until I have enough money to buy the full banks kit next year If im going to turbo this old rig im going to try to do it right.
"If the previously described range cannot be attained, FIPL adjustment can be achieved by rotating the sensor (on its bracket) one way or the other until the voltage values are satisfactory."
Can change voltage levels so I don't think I am comprehending the adjustment procedure. Someone needs to make a video.
