Swap 5.4l with v10

I have A 1999 f-250 that has a 5.4l with a 4R100/E40D.. My friend wreck his dads truck and will let me have the motor which is a v10 in a 2001 f-350.. Would the v10 bolt to my trans? I know I have to wire it and stuff but will it bolt up? Thanks!

It will bolt up just fine, but you'll need the PCM, main harness, and some other stuff from the donor truck to make it all work.

The v10 and 5.4 are the same engine, just two extra cylinders, so like Tom said everything will bolt right up. If he wants to get rid of the entire truck I would look at getting it too just in case you need some extra parts for the swap.

the radiator will be bigger in V10 truck so id swap that too, plus the motor mounts etc. Id just take the whole truck and take everything that goes with the V10 truck

I found that I have 2 rockers/lifters that wasn't in place so I belive this is the reason I have a dead cyclinder and the rest have 130 psi..I got the whole truck with the v10 to use all the parts but hope I don't have to use it..

Is the truck with the v10 fixable or is it totaled? Are you still planning on doing the engine swap now that you know what is wrong with your 5.4? Keep us updated and be sure to post pics if you do the swap
