axle joints
OK so I replaced my drive shaft u joints... easy. the front axle joints look a little different than I have seen. 86 300 4x4 anything I should know about these or is it the same old press them out situation. oh and where can I get the spindle studs they look like I'm Gina have a problem with them and I would rather cut them off if I have issues.

I am not sure if you can get the spindle studs now or not. I know way back years ago when I needed some, I could not find them locally. You should not have a problem with the studs, you problem will be the spindle being stuck in the knuckle assembly. They make a puller/slide hammer thing that you may be able to rent, to get these things out. I have also put a big chisel behind it and forced it off that way, but you have to file the buggers that the chisel makes before you put it back on.
The u-joints are the same, but the clips are on the inside instead of the outside. These things can really be stuck, so don't rule out having to take it to a shop that has a press and get them to press them apart.
