Raptor grill on Ranger

Probably a thread where people will say, "dont do it", or " yeah, do it!". BUT, I modified a picture of a Ranger with a Raptor grill and regular F150 headlights. Heres the pic: Name: 2002RANGER6998003 - Copy.jpg

The grille part shouldn't be too difficult. Its the headlight installation that worries me.

Here's the thing though, the grill can't be swapped over directly, it's too big. Custom letters on a metal mesh is what one guy did on another site.

Like michigan66 said, the headlights would be some work.

And then a custom bumper, or perhaps one from an Explorer, and try to use the Ranger valence.

The fenders would most likely have to get some new metal on them to match the headlights' outline.

In the picture, I used a 2001-03 hood, because it's straight across, and no modification would be required.

This picture is what I would like to see on a Ranger. It would be alot of work, but would be the best looking, out of all the things I've seen people do trying this.

Here's the original picture, for a comparison of what picture I started with.

I hate the Raptor grills, but for those interested, someone has made one.

Thats the grill I was referencing. I think it looks pretty good. While its not a perfect fit, maybe the letter size could be reduced some.

I agree that the letter size seems to be a bit excessive...

This might sound sacrilegious, but a memory popped into my head (yay! a memory!) of a neighbor we had when I was kid who took the "F" and the "D" off the hood of his F-series and switched them around to spell "DORF" - For some reason, I was thinking what that Raptor grill would look like with the altered spelling...

Yeah, I know... I'm sick...

Way back, and I mean "way back", when I was into Mopars. A guy I knew took Dodge, and made it into "DOG". A few months later he wound up with a Z28. I always thought there was something wrong with him.
