I just bought a 2012 F250 6.7L. Does anyone know how many places there are that I need to lube?
My 2002 F250 7.3L had only 4 lube points on the tie rods but I haven't found any information on the 2012.
My 2012 gas burner has "zero" lube points. Coming from a GM Duramax this was a WT% moment for me! Guess I'll find out how long sealed / no lube joints last.
I'm pretty confident that all of these trucks have grease zerks on the front axle shaft u-joints. My '08 and my '11 both had them, and the maintenance guide mentions greasing these every 15,000 miles IIRC.
The axle u-joint are sealed. I have no grease zerks on my 05. 138860 miles and not a problem with the front end. Thanks FORD. Ordered a 2013 just like my 05, can't wait.
The F-53 RV chassis does, and forgetting them will result in a BIG maintenance bill! There are 10 grease points that remind me for all the world of an old straight axel Ford pickup from the late 50s!
