New Purchase Yesterday

Sold my girl ( 1996 F-150, 5.8L, short-wide, 65000 miles ) and purchased a 2012 F-250 Lariat, 6.2, 4x4, Extended Cab short box. Reason: retired and looking to pull a 28ft trailer and head south for a couple months. I'm afraid I'm gonna miss the '96, but the drive home with the new Superduty did put that grin on my face ! I do have lots of operational questions with all the new gadgets and computer aided assists, the owners guide will be within reach for awhile....the questions and answers I've been reading on this forum the past couple of months affected my decision to go gas instead of diesel. Right now wondering where to store my toolbag, jumper cables and tow rope as there isnt much room under the rear seat ! Canopy may be in the future. This is my first post to any forum...thanks to all contributors, I'm more of a reader than a poster !

You'll quickly forget about the '96 the first time you pull with the '12. The controls can be intimidating at first but you'll catch on quickly. I came from a 2000 F250 and it took me almost 3 days before I even touched the AC/heat controls on my '11. I bought my truck in the winter and I knew somehow the heat was coming on (finding out later it's automatic below 32) so I just left it! ha ha.

Anyways, congrats on the purchase and welcome to the site!
