Strange Dashboard Issues.

Hello everyone.

I've been having issues with my 2004 F-150. This has been going on for a good 3 years now but I have yet to get it looked at professionally due to financial issues.

When I drive, the dials on the dash (Speed, etc) usually end up zeroing out. On top of this, all the warning lights click on with a loud beeping sound (parking break, check engine, seatbelt, oil). And finally if I am using the A/C when this happens, the A/C stops blowing cool air and starts blowing humid warm air.

I generally end up smacking the top of my dashboard to cause them all to go back to normal but this usually only lasts for a good 5-15 minutes before it happens again.

Finally, ever since this happened, the Milage stops displaying. The only time I get it to display is if my truck needs a jump (I have a new battery currently) and then it turns on for maybe 4 hours before turning back off (the milage counter)

I've been told this may be a cluster issue?

Any assistance?

You are probably suffering the old water leak on the electrical fuse box causing corrosion. Probably a windshield leak. Look of blue/green corrosion usually leads you below the source area of the leak. Also look for a loose bad connection. Does it seem to be worsening over the time of the problems.
