I'm just confused as to who would steal a head unit + subs. Obviously if you can't afford a few subs and a head unit you clearly cannot afford a vehicle. Selling them hot won't get you much either.
Clearly its just a crackhead/alcoholic looking for his/her next fix.
The only other option would be the OP's friend/coworker just lookin to troll him. Expect subs/headunit to be bumpin in said friend/coworkers vehicle next time he gives you a ride.

Really sorry to hear that. And not that I wanna make a joke of the situation, but here are some pretty interesting, custom anti-theft devices....

there was a write up about it today on facebook. they take your personal info and come to your house when your gone and take like one or two credit cards leave the wallet a few checks from the box and you don't even know for a couple days and they have a good head start on you. ask your insurance agent about this.

I had a friend that that hasppen to his truck was broken into. The only way he found out was someone used a card that he hadn't used in a few months and the bank called him. He later went to his truck and looked at all the doors closely and found the passenger door had said small hole, nothing was taken from what he could tell. He had left his wallet in the glovebox and nothing in view. The sad truth is no matter what alarm anybody has if the thief wants it they'll get it!!
