I recently purchased a 95 F150 with the off road package. I have noticed skid plates and torsion bars on the rear. Any other parts involved in the package?

 

Skid plates, stabilizer bars, and the 4x4 Off Road decal on styleside models made up the 1995 Off Road Package.

 

Were quad front shocks in that package, or at least HD shocks?

 

There are two shocks on each front side. Is this unique to the Off Road Package. Are they special shocks. I know Chevy uses the Bilstien shocks on their off road package.

 

My '95 F150 4X4 Off Road does not have the dual shock setup in front.

 

Somehow I always thought it was simply a tape stripe package that they stuck on, similar to the shevy Z71 decal kit... another way to jack the cost of the truck that much higher.

 

Nope, but both were part of the handling package (stabilizer bars, HD shocks, and quad front shocks on regular cab 4x4 F-150's). The handling package was also part of the trailer towing package.

 

I had a 92 and 94 F-150 and both had the Off Road package but only the 94 had the quad shocks. So I believe it is in the handling package. I would never buy one without the QS set up. I don't believe that the QS option is available on the extended cab, when I replaced my 94 I looked all over and never found one.

 

Quad front shocks were available only on the F-150 regular cab 4x4. The off road package wasn't available until 1994, but the skid plates and stabilizer bars were available separate options earlier.

 

Mine has the handling package. 95. Has a front sway bar, qs, skid plates, hitch, and an auxiliary spring and spacers.
