53 F250

Hello! I am new here but not new to old trucks. It has been awhile ince I have had one though. I now have a 1953 F250 with a Chevy 350 (I bought it this way). It will keep the Chevy until I can afford to swap it for something else (which will be after my kids get done driving it to school). Yeah, you got it right...my kids will be driving this truck to school through their high school years. If I told ya how much I paid for it you would understand, needless to say they are REALLY excited.

Mods to come:
1. Get it running right (it is in the shop right now)
2. Power steering (I think I will be going with the Toyota set up, could use some insight)
3. Power brakes (I haven't even begun to look into this yet)
as well as rebuild them.
4. DRIVE THE P!$$ out of it.

Me likey! Awesome looking truck!

Brakes: Go with master dual cylinder, booster kit and front discs.

Steering: Absolutely go with the Toyo setup, can't go wrong.

Welcome!

Thanks!

Is there a kit for the brakes or do I have to piece it together?

Nice. Isn't the 53 the Jubilee addition? Or 50 year or like that?

Yes, 50th anniversary!
Nice looking truck, Artagra. Do you know if that's the original Vermilian Red? I'm leaning heavily in that direction if it is.

I was told it is the original color. It is definitely NOT the original paint.

Nice truck. Wish I would have had something cool to drive high school. I drove an old 51 Plymouth 4dr.
