Blown Transmission?

Blown Transmission?
I have a 2002 F-250 W/ 7.3L & 4R100 trans. I parked the truck overnight and it ran beautiful and today when i turned it on the overdrive light was flashing. Reverse Gear works fine but when i put it in drive there was no power. If i start in 2nd gear the truck moves fine and then once into drive it drives fine but it wont go into overdrive. Am i looking at a blown transmission or is there something else i should look at. I hauled a 3 horse plus living quarters trailer a week ago and the transmission never got above 180* when i was hauling it. But the truck does have 296k miles.

You need to get the codes checked. The flashing OD light means one or more codes have been stored. Without knowing the codes all anyone can do is guess. The places that read codes free can't read Ford transmission codes.
