Help. I have a 2003 F450 6.8 L. It has a utility bed on it. I have not had it long. Every time I try fo fuel it up, it takes forever, shuts the nozzle off. And I can only get about 1/2 tank full. I crawled under there and got to checking if for kinks or something. I was feeling around and found the vent hose stuffed back on top of the tank, and had a plug in it. On most all Fords I have had the vent hose runs up and connects to a fitting comming off the fuel inlet. There is no nipple on this one to connect it. Could this just be run somewhere else and pointed down so water does not go up in it, or is this a preassureized tank that should have a valve. I am thinking they used the wrong filler neck. Any one with a F450 and a utility bed, could you look under it and see how your vent tube is hooked up. Please.Remember this is a diesel and when fueling it up I think with no vent it was just foaming up.
