351w rebuild or not rebuild

I have a 351W out of my 1996 Bronco with 190,000 miles. Doesn't burn oil, no knocking, runs great. Pulled motor to replace front/rear seals, freeze plugs, oil pan gasket, timing chain. With this mileage is it recommended to rebuild motor? On a budget, should I just fix the above mentioned parts and install motor as is, or should I contemplate a complete rebuild? Got a quote for $1700. Any suggestions with other options on which way I should go?

Thanks!

IMHO, with that mileage if you have it out for everything else that you know it needs, I would do a complete teardown/inspection (heck, there is not that much more- pulling the heads & the pan).......and really consider at minimum a valve job, re-ring & bearings.

Have complete motor torn down to a short block right now. Note this is the first motor I have torn into so I am learning as I go. I am on a budget as well. How much would a valve job, re-ring & bearings run?

including new oil pump & name brand parts (such as clevite, etc)- I would swag $600 for the parts kit, and figure $150 per head for a valve job plus parts (if valves & springs need to be replaced) for that.

The $150 per head would cover the labor since they are pulling all those parts out anyway & grinding the valves, etc.
