2010 F150 4.6L slow to fuel

So it takes me a half hour to fill my tank, pump will constantly kick off if it’s more than an 1/8th pump speed. Tried different stations, pulling the nozzle out as far as possible, turning the handle sideways and no change. Two weekends ago I pulled and cleaned the vent line on the filler neck as well as the line going to the charcoal canister and my fuel mileage improved (1.3mpg higher) but still is painfully slow to fuel.

Next issue to check would be the charcoal canister correct or is there another spot that will cause this? Fuel tank itself is not deformed in anyway, when I cleaned the vent lines out there was some junk in them so I had high hopes that would fix the issues.

Thoughts?

Sounds as if there's been TOO many fill-ups beyond the initial click-off of the fuel fill nozzle. *meaning: soaked canister.

I tend to agree with gDMJoe ^^^^^^^, it sounds like possibly the cannister is soaked. Take it out, is it light or heavy?

You could also shine a flashlight down into the filler and see if there is anything weird going on.

Does your area have pumps with the vapor-collector boot on them? If so, you could try pulling one side slightly away from the filler neck so there isn't a seal and see if that helps.

I was thinking the same thing- maybe it's time to start removing/inspecting/replacing venting components.
