How did you raise your rear? I saw some 6" shackle flips by RuffStuff but they need measurements, which I don't have. Need to go get them but I'm lazy tonight.

6" lift should need 7* bushings or 4* bushings + drop brackets

No the 79 drag link will not work and even if you cut and sleeve it you will not have any adjustability - important unless you are spot on perfect with your measurement.

The factory trac bar bracket will not work because the upper mount should be directly behind the driver side coil spring. - look at the brackets i cut up to make this one. It is very important the drag link and trac bar be parallel. This means almost no two upper brackets will be the same length below the frame based on all components used.

The trac bar i built was about $100 in material plus labor. You can buy an adjustable trac bar for a 73-79 but im not sure if the length and etc will be right. You would be better off making one with heims and dom

4" 79 superflex coils in ttb coil buckets lifted it 6-7" id say so we kept the factory block and used add a leafs. It sits just a little nose high. Maybe an inch from being level.

What measurements does Dan ask for? Haven't looked at them in a long time

Ok.

So I need one of these drag link? Then use my stock 79 tie rod ends for it correct?

I wish I had a torch and welder to do the track bar mount. So I can keep my TTB shock tower or I can use my 79 shock tower still?

Here is the link to the shackle flips

Neither of those links work

Buy a complete drag link for a 90 350 4wd. It will bolt to your 79 tie rod on one end and your 80-96 pitman arm on the other

You can keep the ttb shock/coil tower or use the 79 coil and shock towers as two separate pieces. I think its much easier to keep the ttb tower bc its one less thing to worry about grinding rivets or aligning.

Aaaah, Dan is selling more custom flip kits now. He used to sell a basic "ford" flip deal without all the measurements

So, keep the TTB coil and shock towers. So the 79 ford coil will still fit in there good?

Could I just bolt on a track bar mounting bracket to the frame? Where could I get a bolt-on track mounting bracket since I don't have the metal nor tools to make one?

Could you give me the link to what you used for a track bar and what length? This would be cheaper right?

Thanks

Read my thread. All this is in there.

I wouldnt bolt the trac bar bracket on bc of where it has to mount on the frame.

I dont have a link. I made it myself. I can get you a measurement but i wouldnt take it as the size you need.

Why do people prefer the 78-79 Coil buckets vs the TTB Coil buckets?

That was the word I was given way back in 98 when I did the sassy on my 150. Got a lot of grief saying my truck wouldn't run right with the 95 buckets. Guess I proved that wrong...

Do stock quad buckets get in the way of any mods?

Does the stock quad bucket allow post SAS quad shocks?

Just like I was told a 85.5 and up D60 front could never fit under a 78-79 half ton. N I did it, along with some other folks around here.

Most guys have no idea what can actually be bolted together/made to work from different year Fords.
