I picked up a 1959 F100 at auction a few weeks back. Getting it home, discovered the previous owner had stripped it, and started installing a '79 302 V8 Widndsor, minus all externals (alternator, solenoid, fan, carb, etc).

I checked and found out a Motorcraft 2150 should be fine, and grabbed one at the salvage yard (with exchange policy just in case).

The issue is, I cannot figure out what rebuild kit to grab for it. The ID on the tag is

D9TF-BTB-C9F15

If someone could send me in the right direction for a good decoder, or somewhere else on the carb besides the tag to better ID it, that would be fantastic.

It would seem that if you went to NAPA and asked for a rebuild kit for a 2150 you should be all set. You might try posting in the 73-79 forum! Enjoy your new truck!

 

Good call, I forget that I have a '79 engine, not a '59, and those questions are best sent elsewhere.

I actually just figured out the issue, the tag was scratched, and it was a D9TE-BTB, which made it easy to locate.
